Why every Indian must know about Anna Hazare

Anna Hazare was born on 15 January 1940 in Bhingar, a small village near the city of Ahmednagar.
Anna Hazare started his career in the Indian Army as a driver in 1963. He spent his spare time reading the works of Vivekananda, Gandhi, and Vinoba Bhave; they inspired him to become a social worker and activist. During the Indo-Pakistani War of 1965 he was the only survivor in a exchange of border fire while driving a truck in Khem Karan sector. During the mid-1970s he survived a road accident while driving.

After voluntary retirement from the army, Hazare went to Ralegaon Siddhi village in Ahamad Nagar district, Maharashtra in 1975. Initially he organised the youth of the village into an organisation named the Tarun Mandal (Youth Association). He helped to form the Pani Puravatha Mandals (Water Supply Associations) to ensure proper distribution of water. He remodeled the entire village as a self-sustained, eco-friendly & harmonic model village. Energy is produced in the village itself from solar power, biofuel and wind mills. In 1975, it used to be a poverty clad village. Now it is one of the richest village in India.

Now he is fighting with our national disease CORRUPTION. He is supporting a cause, the amendment of a law to curb corruption in India. He is advocating for a Bil, The Jan Lokpal Bill (The Citizen Ombudsman Bill), that will form an autonomous authority who will make politicians (ministers), beurocrats (IAS/IPS) accountable for their deeds. If this bill is passed in the parliament, then a LokPal will be appointed at the centre. He will have an autonomous charge, say like the Election Commission of India. In each and every state, Lokayukta will be appointed. The job is to bring all alleged party to trial in case of corruptions within 1 year. Within 2 years, the guilty will be punished. Not like, other cases running for decades without any result. Now you must have understood why every other politician is not interested in this.

We all used to think if this CORRUPTION goes out of our country we will be the best in the world, but never moved even a small single stone for that. but this Brave-heart has started a revolutionary fight for our democracy to be back. Please JOIN your hands....
