- Look for total carbohydrates not just sugar
- Look for the total high fiber. If more than 5 grams of fiber, half of the fiber grams can be subtracted from carbohydrates.
- Sugar free does not mean carbohydrate free. Total carbohydrate contributes to the body glucose.
